An Ace Card for Wellness
I previously believed that excess protein was causing me to have 'psychosis.' My latest finding is that it's not excess protein, but instead a high amount of protein with a high amount of carbohydrate eaten at the same time. It's probably the spiked insulin that is the cause, as a high amount of protein causes an insulin spike, as does a high amount of carbohydrate, so when combining both in one meal, this doubles the insulin spike to very high levels, causing me imbalances.
Furthermore regarding protein, there is an Ace card for wellness - undenatured protein. Most people do not get much tryptophan in their diet. When people eat meat and other cooked protein, the heating process denatures the protein. Tryptophan is an amino acid that is destroyed when heated. Milk and yogurt and so forth are pasteurized, destroying the tryptophan. Turkey for Thanksgiving does not contain viable tryptophan, and tryptophan does not necessarily make a person tired, but instead increases DMT levels in the dreamstate, as tryptophan breaks down into melatonin which breaks down into... it's a long story (A profoundly brilliant scientist named Ananda Bosman has the full explanation).
The reason there are people who advocate eating only raw food, including even raw meat, is because the undenatured protein makes them feel INCREDIBLE. I myself don't want to eat only raw food though, and there's another way to obtain undenatured protein. Look for a powdered whey protein that is specifically stated to be processed at low temperatures. Somewhere on the label it should say it's "undenatured." Most whey protein powders are denatured, so it takes some hunting. If anyone is curious about a specific brand that I recommend, feel free to comment on this post. (I have no ulterior motive to try to be a salesman; I simply found something that works quite well.)
Update: No one has commented, but I'll post an image of the product anywhey.
