Synthesis
There is the saying "What you think about you bring about." However, when only what is desired is focused on, there can be blind spots to infiltration/undesired manifestations. This is why it's also said that "It's what you don't see that gets you." Yet, focusing on what's desired means not being on the defensive and looking for hidden infiltration. So which is it? Focusing on what's desired or being on the defensive and looking for what can go wrong? The answer may be both. One can both focus on what's desired and prevent infiltration.
More and more through my life, I find that I contradict myself. I will have one belief that is very strong one way, and then in the not-too-distant future, I will have a strong contradicting belief. Perhaps the way forward is to synthesize the two contradictory beliefs into a new third belief. This is what I did with the two contradictory beliefs regarding Et's, which are:
1. "We don't need positive Ets for anything."
2. "We are nothing without positive Ets."
These two opposing beliefs were synthesized together to become a third belief:
3. We need positive Ets for assistance with certain matters that are beyond our control, such as stopping high tech weaponry being used against us, but we can still stand in our own power.
Certain matters are either-or of course, but I'm finding that more and more, it's necessary to synthesize two contradictory beliefs into a third belief.
Looking up the word "synthesis," one of the definitions is:
Creation is very interesting because it's always combining itself. This is evident in life coming together to create new life, but is also true in chemistry when two elements merge to become a third substance with unique properties. Similarly, two colors can combine to make a third color. There are many other examples.
If creation operates by making combinations of itself for new creations, many beliefs can be combined as well. Perhaps many other aspects of the self are also meant to merge.
