Either Way

I still read her material:

https://justempowerme.com/what-is-the-great-game-of-the-omniverse-who-were-the-players-the-ultimate-end-goal-of-the-game-is-to-eliminate-natural-creation-goal-1-control-the-most-souls-goal-2-control-earth-go/

I read the article from start to finish.  She discusses the same dates Cobra does, but from a very, very different perspective.

She updates with articles here:

Only time will reveal the 'real McCoy.'

Either way, it's beneficial to connect to Source with the Flower of Life.  Although E'Asha Ashayana claims it's harmful, I don't believe so.  The geometry is a circle going through the center of every other circle, which is very balanced.

Holding the Light, The Problem I've Run Into, and Aggression May Still Help if Used 'Properly'

Holding the Light

To really be stronger with "holding the light," it's not only a matter of having a versatile/adaptive psychology and doing meditations.  The physical body must also be in a balanced state.

Eating meat increases 'barbarian aspects,' which definitely hinders holding the light.  Even after no longer eating meat for a day or two, it's still in the system in the colon.  The cleansing of meat from the system can be sped up through colonic irrigations.  There are ways to do this without going to a colonic irrigation clinic.  I won't go into the details though for the sake of 'etiquette.'

Here are some personal findings.  These findings may or may not apply universally:

– Whey protein isolate or concentrate is destabilizing. (This still isn't certain, but is becoming more and more probable.)

– Dairy in its natural forms are not as destabilizing as meat, and can be consumed without being placed too much off balance.

– Being lacto-vegetarian is easy, but being vegan is extremely difficult.  (Those  who can be vegan for long periods of time without issues have accomplished quite a feat!)

– Pea protein isolate and rice protein isolate only cause tiredness when combined with dairy.  A dairy meal can therefore be alternated with a non-dairy meal with vegan protein powders.

Back to physiology:  I can apply CBT and stoicism, but if my physiology is imbalanced, the imbalanced energy doesn't dissipate, and almost all of my attention has to be focused on distancing myself from destructive thinking.  Only the combination of physiological balance with CBT and stoicism creates a state of balance and harmony.  With all of these conditions being met, meditations can be done with much greater access to the light.  ("Stoicism" is not being used here with the common definition as "cold and unfeeling."  I'm referring to historical stoicism, which is entirely different.)

True lightwork involves tapping into a harmony that prevents conflicts before they start.  This allows for synchronicities to work in one's favor, as well as in the world's favor.

Some prefer to be fighters though.  I knew someone who ate large amounts of meat to give him strength to rip apart negative entities in the astral.  However, light can come through to dissolve these entities instead.  It's just a matter of what one prefers.  There is no 'one size fits all' approach.  For those who do Cobra meditations though, eating meat doesn't mix well.  It requires a high level of 'fine tuning' to be able to be in a balanced enough state to access the light when working with Cobra meditations.

The Problem I've Run Into

Being vegetarian and holding the light has placed me on the other side of the 'predator-prey' spectrum.  In the dreamstate this morning, two others tried to dominate me with their 'animalistic urges.'  (I'd rather not go into too many details.)  Just as a predator hunts its prey in the animal kingdom, humans (maybe just the cabal portion of humanity along with certain compromised individuals) hunt those who hold the light.

(Important note:  Being on the prey side of the predator-prey spectrum does not mean I preyed on anyone in the past when being more on the predator side.  I never went after anyone, but I was more aggressive and had more 'barbaric vibes' – vibes which I kept to myself.  For example, I never tried to kidnap someone and sell them into slavery – in the dreamstate this morning I was threatened with this as I was being assaulted.)

With all the subquantum/lurker cleared, I'm very puzzled because there's still so much darkness in the world.  'Predatory animalistic tendencies' of people appear to be amplified.  It's still very unclear as to why this would be.  (I'm not complaining; I just don't understand.)

Aggression Can Help When Holding the Light if Used 'Properly'

Sometimes when my mind keeps tormenting me with stupid nonsense, such as imagining scenarios of conflict and 'getting all worked up,' it works to aggressively tell the mind to shut up.  (I live alone, so there's no one to look at me like I'm crazy when I start saying, "Shut up!")

Sometimes a more aggressive approach is needed when the bull starts getting really stupid.  Doing so does not appear to be compromising.  It provides relief when nothing else works to make it stop with its bull-shit.

Notes Over the Last Week or So

Proposed Protocol for Debates

Debate ideas and not people.  If someone tries to turn a debate of an idea into a personal attack, expose what they are doing.  Here’s an example of a hypothetical attack:

Person A:  “Some situations can be made out to be more complex than they really are.  It’s healthy to be grounded and down-to-earth at times.”

Person B:  "If you were truly enlightened, you wouldn't feel that way.  Maybe you're not as spiritually advanced as you think."

Person B is not addressing person A’s argument at all, and is instead using an attack that implies spiritual superiority over person A, while also stating that person A as not spiritually advanced in general, and projecting onto person A that person A believes him/herself to be spiritually advanced, when person A didn’t say anything about being spiritually advanced in the first place.

Some attacks can simply be ignored.  Every single thing someone says doesn’t have to be broken down and analyzed.  However, if an attack is particularly insidious, it can be beneficial to expose the attack layer by layer, as a learning process for oneself and others.

Some instances are just someone being humorous.  It all depends.  It’s usually apparent when it’s an attack though.

Some don’t prioritize exposing online attacks, and feel that there are more constructive things to do with their time.  This is understandable.  Each to their own.

Stoicism/CBT/Transurfing advises to see adversity and obstacles as opportunities.  One can ask oneself with various undesired situations, “How can I turn this into an opportunity?”  Not all situations can be turned into opportunities, but it may be a surprise that many situations that previously were not seen this way, can be this way.

I Got Hit Hard

On the morning of March 26, 2025 at around 8:00 a.m in the dreamstate, I was bombarded with 2 different frequencies, primarily in my left ear.  It was 2 different frequencies because the ringing in my left ear had 2 different ringing pitches.  This was a frequency attack to keep my consciousness ensnared in ‘lower vibes.’  I’ve been making more and more progress to be liberated from darkness, so they decided to try to get me back into my little ‘cage’ with this attack, which was probably carried out by a black ops branch of the military industrial complex.  This is a violation of the Geneva Conventions and Cosmic Law/Galactic Codex.  I command full restitution for this criminal act.  I command that all parties responsible for this attack be brought to justice.  (I waited until now to post this because I didn’t want to distract anyone from the clearing of subquantum/lurker during the critical timeframe of March 14 – 28.)

Americans aren’t necessarily bad and stupid people.  It’s just that Americans get hit with frequencies to keep them in a truncated state of development.  The United States has a massive cabal presence, with perhaps the most extreme level and use of psychotronic weaponry in the world.  This is probably why there are not many lightworkers from the US compared with many other nations.

According to a powerful occultist I once knew:

The cabal technologies have both physical and nonphysical aspects, operating in 3D but also just above 3D, in the etheric plane.  Entire geographical locations can be bombarded with certain frequencies and energies.  Spheres on the Kabbalah can also be used for this purpose.

I Got Hit Hard Again Just After the Activation

This morning, I woke up about 40 minutes after “a flash of Light through the planetary energy grid, that will activate all planetary Dragon leylines and the Goddess Atlantean equator leyline.”  Here is the dream I woke up to:

I was on a ship on the ocean of some kind and was put under anesthesia.  There was a male and female doctor.  They had to remove something from my arm.  After this, they malevolently agreed that it would be a good idea to cut off a centimeter of my tongue.  One of the doctors said, “No less than a centimeter.”  After they did this, the anesthesia started wearing off.  I kept saying in tears with my heart crying out, “Why would you do this to me?”  I was saying this as I was trying to get my tongue to stop bleeding with toilet paper.  There were many bloody pieces of toilet paper I was dropping in the toilet.  After waking up from the dream, I almost physically felt the pain of a centimeter of my tongue having been cut off.

My question is, if so much evil has been cleared according to 2012 Portal, why do abuses like this continue to happen?  Why do people still behave this way?  Wouldn’t people start to no longer do these kinds of messed up things, whether it’s physically or metaphysically?

Exposing Censorship

Not too long ago, I’ve been getting censored by a couple groups – PrepareForChange and by Kim Gougen.  They won’t let me comment anything.

I don’t know why Kim Gougen would do this, but PFC may be doing this because of what I stated about the book, “A Long, Dark Shadow” by Allyn Walker.

I disagreed with this book because it wants to create another identity within identity politics.  As I stated on a previous post, among other things, it’s best to not make one’s sexuality into their identity.  This includes the identity of being a pedophile or, as Allyn Walker unfortunately calls it, “Minor Attracted Person.”

However, this book also came up with instances of people being talked out of abusing children from support groups.  Would support groups be such a bad idea if they can prevent abuse?  Or, would such support groups become another deep state agenda?  Many believe that pedophiles will end up abusing children – that it’s just a matter of time.  Is this really true for them all?  Anyway, this is a huge ‘can of worms,’ but being censored by PFC in perpetuity only falls back upon them.  They probably think I’m a pedophile for exploring the possibility of pedophiles being talked out of abusing children. šŸ™„

By the way, I doubt anyone from PFC actually read “A Long, Dark Shadow.”  (I read the entire book.)  In order to come up with the most effective arguments against a book, wouldn’t it be a good idea to actually read the book?

Regarding Kim Gougen

Kim Gougen is completely opposed to Cobra.  She previously stated:

“Are there enough drones in the world to stage a fake alien Invasion which is where they’re going? I’m going to say probably not at the ready. They would probably need several months in manufacturing and then there’s the coordinating of the drone, the people that control the drones, and all of this stuff. So probably not at this time. I know that is another rumor that’s going around out there so I wanted to tell you the backstory behind that and that they have tried to use it. It’s also being reported on the 2012 Portal site I think that’s Cobra. It’s everywhere and they’re talking about an incoming alien invasion of some sort. They can hope for that I guess but it’s simply not the case.”

(Source)

“When the Dark Overlord, Lucifer died about a year ago, his wife made an agreement with the Draco that gave them a red line interaction with the moon. That is why the 20th tile on the Mayan calendar is on the woman’s back. It meant that it was the beginning of Lilith’s rule and apparently when ‘Isis got her crown back’. Kim mentioned this because it was discussed on some 2012 Portal Blog Site and she was explaining that this is what they were talking about."

Source

“COBRA is not our friend. What she can tell us is that his meditations typically take place around the new and full moons. Is that a coincidence? He’ll state that the signal has been sent and in his updates tell you whether requirements were met, not met, or a failure incurred. If you type in his acronyms like SPX for example, you can decode the message and find out exactly what he is talking about. Usually it’s attached to some agency, DARPA, or Black Sun operation.”

Source

What Kim Gougen Says About the Name “Starlight”:

“The Starlight System

Regaining control was all tied back to the Star Light System. The Deep State did not create it as it’s been here in our galaxy probably for around a million years. The reason Kim never detected it is because it was covered under the False Light Agreement. By false light she means inorganic light that mimics actual light, therefore you think it’s something of the light or an organic thing but it’s not. There were eight agreements under this in total if she remembers correctly and were phased outside the galaxy. Every single planet was involved including Earth, actually Earth was the target. So this ties into the earthquakes. Why did that happen? Because if something were to happen to Omega the earthquakes were to be triggered because they were part of that same network.

Now the Starlight system started mimicking everything that Alpha 2 (now called the Harmonic Genesis of the Creator of Organic Life System) was building. It stuck itself right in between Alpha 1 and Alpha 2. So if you were NORAD this morning and you had a connection but it wasn’t going anywhere, it’s because you were trying to connect and poking in with the lines in between the Planes of Existence but it was just molding around you. This Starlight system never existed in the Physical Plane because it never got that far. Now it no longer exists at all.”

Source

I don’t know what to make of Kim’s material.  But PFC often posts her material on their blog.  I was just wondering if they were aware that she regards Cobra as being a part of the deep state.  I of course don’t necessarily believe this about Cobra.  Honestly, I don’t know what to make of any intel anymore.  The only thing I know for sure is that it’s all a huge mess.  Oh well.

Applying CBT and Stoicism to Metaphysical/Dreamstate Attacks

There’s no reason why CBT and stoicism can’t be applied to such attacks regarding healing from possible resulting PTSD.  I’ll definitely use this for the latest attacks.  Furthermore, CBT and stoicism are always something to fall back on when all else fails.  I definitely underestimated them both, and I’m very glad I decided to pursue them.

I'm Doing Great!

In between the waking state and dream state I heard the thoughtform this morning, "I don't want to help you."  This was accompanied with judgemental vibes.  Whoever this is, I've reached the point with research/application of stoicism and CBT to be in a position to no longer need anyone else's help.  Therefore, I request that whoever you are, please stand aside.  If you don't stand aside, I will simply know that you are trying to hinder my healing and development.  I will also know that you are powerless over me, and anything you might do to try to harm me only falls back upon you.

Psychologically, I've made major breakthroughs.  I don't need a therapist, nor do I need the approval of others.  If anything, I am almost in a position to help others with their issues.  I thought about being a paid mentor, which doesn't require an advanced degree.  This is a great alternative to being a therapist.  (I am not 'qualified' to be a therapist because I don't want to go into massive student loan debt.)

I've been reading the books and doing the work of a college student.  The university I go to is my living room, and, weather permitting, the outdoors.  Currently though, I don't feel guided to be a paid mentor, as this would entail a great amount of online time doing video calls.  I feel that I already spend too much time online.

Long story short, I don't judge myself for past mistakes.  I instead use past mistakes as learning opportunities.  I'm grateful that I hit 'rock bottom' around 2024.  I'm grateful for the mistakes I made then, and before then, because all of this helps to steer me in a healthy direction.

I also understand that I don't need anyone's validation and approval to be able to function.  Even if the entire world of humans hated and rejected me, it's alright, as this is beyond my control.  A performer on a stage only gets nervous from being afraid of disappointing the audience.  However, if the performer realizes that the only thing that matters is the virtue of the performance itself, regardless of what the audience may think, all the fear and anxiety vanishes.  Whether it's a performance on stage or living life, this is the way to be.

What if the light forces look down upon me as well?  I don't think they do, but if they do, the same still applies.  Really, I'm doing just fine.  Whether it's the surface population or the light forces, I don't place myself in the position to be at their mercy.  I can now fully stand on my own two feet.  (Finances is another matter of course, as I will be running out of money in the not-too-distant-future, but stoicism and CBT places me in a strong position to be able to make ends meet – even with a touch of grace.)

Possible Aspects Beyond the Veil

I've found freedom in not identifying who I am based on my:

– Race

– Gender

– Sexuality

– Various worldly belief systems

It's interesting that by not identifying oneself by these aspects, identity politics is rendered inert.

Yes, one can still enjoy various roles.  Everyone has likes and dislikes.  However, there are aspects beyond all of this that can be accessed, as deeper levels of being connected to 'higher realms.'

Even someone with deep and strong destructive programming can access higher realms when disidentifying from this programming.

When someone dies, much of what they thought they were dissolves.  Often, those who die are in for quite a surprise.  I suspect this to be the case from a few experiences of being close to death.

I postulate that the more one is ensnared in worldly identities, the smaller one is after death.  The more one knows oneself beyond worldly identities, the larger one is after death.  Ascension could be similar.

There are still masculine and feminine energies after death or ascension, but not in the way that is understood in 'earthly terms.'

There are no identity politics and other such similar dualities beyond the veil.

One can go beyond the veil without dying.  This is 'dying without dying.'

Physical matter has dimensions above 3D.  It has 4D, 5D, 6D, and 7D aspects, with their many sub-layers.  (I was told that the physical world is dimensions 1-7.)  This is multiple layers of complexity within complexity.

Exploration within physicality can become very interesting when in a state beyond identities.  The possible undefined experiences of this may as well be infinite.

The Probable Current Situation

I posted this before as a comment on 2012 Portal, but I'll put this up one more time, with an added observation at the end:

Clarification on Trump and Musk:

The Light Forces did not say they unconditionally support Trump and Musk. Instead, according to conference notes, this was stated:

"1 month ago the chances of cooperation between the Aldebarans and Trump/Musk were 40-45%. As of right now, it stands at 30-35% probability. We’ll see how things go in February and March."

"There are two scenarios. The first scenario is that Donald Trump and Elon Musk cooperate and are contacted by the Aldebarans. Elon Musk will be the first person who the Aldebarans will contact. It may begin real disclosure. Elon Musk has a thick mind. He is good in some aspects. If the click happens between him and the Aldebarans, it will be a force for good.

The second scenario is that the Aldebarans have a backup plan which will continue regardless of surface politicians. This is why the United States is the last chance for cooperation (with surface politicians). The Aldebarans will do things differently in case of the second scenario. It will be more rough and confrontational. But the truth needs to come out."

https://prepareforchange.net/2025/02/24/official-notes-cobras-workshop-portal-2025%e2%80%b3phoenix-usa-1-2-february-2025-2-versions-votl-628-adoninas/

Current observation:

Trump is cooperating (to some extent) to try to make peace between Ukraine, NATO, and Russia, but is not cooperating at all to make peace in the middle east.  Also, peace is not working well with Ukraine because Ukraine is violating the ceasefire of energy infrastructure that Putin agreed to.

It's likely that matters will have to get "rough and confrontational," especially since there was only a 30-35% chance of cooperation from Trump/Musk at the time of the last conference.  The percentage probably continued to drop to the point of needing to go with plan B.

Tooth And Nail

Here's my version of the stoic principle of focusing on what can be controlled and letting go of what cannot be controlled:

Years ago, I went jogging 3 hours or more a week.  I would get a runner's high from these jogs.  Life was really good during this time.  Then, however, I started feeling awful after the jogs, and my heart started flip-flopping like I was going to die.  This made me very upset.  I kept saying, "Why am I being punished for doing the right thing?"

Recently though, I decided to go on walks for an hour or more a day, most days of the week.  I feel invigorated with a 'walker's high' from these walks.  It's fantastic!

The above is an example of finding ways around something beyond my control.  "If I can't do this, what can I do?"

Suppose it rains most of the time.  Then I would go on walks with a an umbrella or raincoat.  Suppose I had a leg injury.  Then I would go on walks with a cane.  Suppose I didn't even have legs.  Then I would use a wheelchair.

I make damn sure if something's beyond my control.  I do anything I possibly can to find ways around it, tooth and nail.  If all possible options have been exhausted and I still can't change it, then, and only then, do I let it go.

The Spectrum of Self-Disciplined Development and Goofing Around

Regarding this video,

https://youtu.be/7wu4nE3jNSE?list=LL

it's not all-or-nothing.  One can watch shows that have great depth.  One can play old school video games that are more artistic-looking.  One can go shopping for products that enhance health and activate higher potential.  One can share insightful material online.  One can do purposeful online research.

And, one can get away from all technology and go for a long walk.  One can sit and do nothing for 10 minutes, as was suggested as a test in the above video.  One can do meditations.  One can discipline oneself to read and apply powerful self-help books.  One can learn a new skill set.

It's alright and even healthy to reward oneself for making progress by goofing around.  However, it's best that goofing around not be one's main objective.

We all have a meter that can be gauged.  "Goofing around" can be at one end, and "self-disciplined development" can be at the other.  The question can be asked of oneself, "Where am I on this scale?  Do I lean more toward the "goofing around" end, or more toward the "self-disciplined development" end?  Or, am I somewhere in the middle?"

An Underappreciated Star Trek Series

Pea protein powder (and probably rice protein powder - will have to isolate it to make sure) makes me extremely tired.

I'm not the only one:

https://www.reddit.com/r/vegan/comments/19bnbpb/vegan_protein_making_me_tired/?rdt=34541

One of the replies on the above site states:

"I switched to vegan protein since I suspected the whey was causing me back acne, but I find the same thing with it making me soooo sleepy like that. Like feels like I took a Valium. I’m gonna have to switch back to the whey since I can’t function after the vegan protein powder. Sometimes whey will make me sleepy but not half as much…"

Even a small amount makes me so tired I have to take a nap.  Other vegan powders do the same thing, such as pumpkin seed protein powder and tofu.

When I switch to whey for a while the tiredness goes away.

I wasted a fair amount of money on these vegan protein powders.  Oh well.  It is what it is.

I can't really think of anything to post lately; I'm doing more reading and development on stoicism and CBT.

Star Trek Deep Space Nine is very underappreciated.  I really dig this series lately.  It's said to be the 'wild west' of Star Treks.

If A Stoic Had a Gun to Their Head, and Clarification on Trump and Musk

If A Stoic Had a Gun to Their Head

An unknown commenter stated on a recent post, "I would like to know the immediate response of a Stoic with a gun to their head."

This comment may have been an attempt to invalidate stoicism by using an extreme situation for the purpose of shock value, or this may have been a legitimate curiosity.

Most people in the world will never be in the situation of having a gun to their head.  We hear about it in the news all the time but out of 8 billion people it's statistically extremely rare.  However, stoicism addresses these kinds of scenarios.  "Stoicism and the Art of Happiness" by Donald Robertson states:

"Epictetus says that when a terrifying sound surprises us, such as thunder or a falling building, or when we're suddenly confronted by news of some impending danger, even the Sage is necessarily disturbed, because the initial impression forces itself on his mind, and he may grow pale and shrink back automatically for a moment.  This isn't due to the judgement that something intrinsically 'bad' is about to happen but because of very rapid, involuntary, bodily reactions.

We potentially do control what happens next.  We get to choose our voluntary response to these initial automatic reactions.  We can give our 'assent' to the impressions and go along with them or step back from them instead.  The Sage may receive a sudden shock but does not continue to worry about it, whereas the majority of people allow themselves to be 'carried away' by their anxious impressions.  The Stoics observed that the distress of other animals naturally runs its course.

After being startled, animals gradually relax; after a loss their distress eventually fades.  Our automatic reactions will often likewise fade naturally over time, once the initial impressions are no longer 'fresh' in our minds, as long as we don't perpetuate our feelings by going along with them and giving our assent to faulty value judgements."

It's congruent with stoicism that someone with a gun to their head would have involuntary activation of their fight-or-flight response.  If the trigger was not pulled and the individual survives, then it becomes a matter of utilizing stoicism and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to not get PTSD from it.  However, in the case of getting PTSD, it then becomes a matter of healing from PTSD utilizing stoicism and CBT.

In the even more extreme case of being held captive for a long period of time while being abused, the same still applies if one is rescued.  One would pursue stoicism and CBT to heal.  This would not be easy of course, but it's possible to restructure PTSD pathways in the mind with stoicism and CBT.  It's well worth at least giving it a try.

(A CBT author states that stoicism is the "Grandfather of CBT."  Similarly, authors of stoicism state that CBT derives many of its methods from stoicism.  I didn't know this yet when I stated in a previous post that both CBT and stoicism work really well together.  This was a definite 'aha moment' when I had confirmation from these authors.)

Personally, although I haven't had a gun to my head and haven't been kidnapped and abused over a long period of time, I have been physically tortured (warning, this post contains graphic and disturbing content):

https://starlight432.blogspot.com/2020/09/one-of-my-experiences-with-torture.html

I've also experienced very disturbing horrors in the dreamstate a countless number of times:

https://starlight432.blogspot.com/2025/02/a-most-virtuous-endeavor.html

There may be the attitude among some, such as trollish commenters, that they can push me around.  Perhaps they have underestimated me. šŸ™‚

Anyway, the power of stoicism and CBT has not been shaken in the slightest by the gun comment.

Clarification on Trump and Musk:

The Light Forces did not say they unconditionally support Trump and Musk.  Instead, according to the latest conference notes, this was stated:

"1 month ago the chances of cooperation between the Aldebarans and Trump/Musk were 40-45%. As of right now, it stands at 30-35% probability. We’ll see how things go in February and March."

Basically, if Trump and Musk don't cooperate, there is an alternate plan.

Plant Foods Can Be Beneficial, But Also Poisonous

Here is an excellent article on the three main antinutrients in plant foods:

https://shawnwells.com/2020/07/02/your-guide-to-lectins-phytates-oxalates/

What I like about the above article is that it doesn't have a strict one-size-fits-all mentality.

There's a way to go vegetarian and still be low in lectins, phytates, and oxalates, which is something I've been trying to do for a long time.  When eaten together, pea protein isolate and rice protein isolate form a high-quality complete protein while being low in antinutrients.  By isolating the protein from these two plant foods, much of the antinutrients are processed out of them.

Yet, it's interesting to note that antinutrients can have beneficial properties.  For example, phytic acid (inositol hexaphosphate) can have anti-cancer properties:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17044765/

It's even sold as a supplement:

Years ago, I tried an IP-6 supplement with beneficial physical (and even metaphysical) effects.  Again though, it's up to each individual to figure out what antinutrients benefit them, and which antinutrients cause them harm.  For example, I love tomato sauce, but tomatoes definitely weaken me.  Yet, I tolerate gluten well.

It all depends on who it is, as everyone has unique microbiomes and immune systems.

Regarding Addictions and Dark Thoughts

CBT for Addictions

(Disclaimer:  I am not a licensed professional.)

The all-too-common addiction of porn addiction will be discussed here.

The worst thing someone with a porn addiction can do is punish oneself.  Guilt, shame, and stress over a porn addiction only serve to make the porn addiction worse.  Also, ultra-perfectionism standards in the 'spiritual community' make a porn addiction worse.  Those who point the finger with sanctimony only contribute to the problem.  Although not everyone in the spiritual community are this way, the number is large enough to be an issue.  It's very important to not buy into the judgements of such people, nor the mentality they promote.

Of course, non-judgement does not mean to celebrate the addiction either!  What's needed is a balanced, rational approach.

AI came up with this:

"Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used therapeutic approach for various behavioral addictions, including porn addiction.  It focuses on identifying and challenging negative thoughts and behaviors, then replacing them with healthier alternatives.  Here's how CBT can be applied to porn addiction:

1. Identifying Triggers

CBT helps individuals pinpoint specific triggers that lead to the urge to watch porn.  These triggers can be internal (e.g., stress, boredom, loneliness) or external (e.g., certain environments, social situations).  By identifying these triggers, individuals can develop strategies to cope with them in healthier ways.

2. Challenging Cognitive Distortions

Many people with porn addiction may have distorted beliefs about sexuality, relationships, or their self-worth.  For example, they might think that watching porn is harmless or that they cannot stop once they start.  CBT helps individuals recognize these faulty thinking patterns and replace them with more balanced, realistic beliefs.

3. Behavioral Interventions

CBT often includes behavioral strategies to change the compulsive behavior associated with porn use.  This could involve:

  • Setting boundaries:  For example, limiting internet access, using filtering software, or avoiding specific online environments.

  • Building alternative activities:  CBT encourages individuals to replace the time spent watching porn with healthier, more fulfilling activities such as hobbies, exercise, or social interactions.

4. Developing Coping Skills

One key goal of CBT is to teach clients effective coping mechanisms for dealing with cravings and urges.  This can involve relaxation techniques, mindfulness practices, and stress management tools that help people manage the emotional or mental discomfort that might lead them to seek porn as a coping strategy.

5. Relapse Prevention

CBT emphasizes preventing relapse by preparing individuals for situations where they might be tempted to revert to old behaviors.  The therapist and client work together to develop strategies for managing these situations.  This can include:

  • Creating a plan for high-risk situations:  Identifying where and when a relapse is most likely to occur and planning ahead for how to handle those situations.

  • Self-monitoring:  Keeping track of progress and identifying any signs that a relapse might be imminent.

6. Addressing Underlying Issues

Sometimes, porn addiction can be a symptom of deeper emotional or psychological issues, such as trauma, anxiety, or depression.  CBT can be used to address these underlying problems, reducing the need for unhealthy coping mechanisms like pornography.

Effectiveness of CBT for Porn Addiction

Research suggests that CBT is an effective treatment for porn addiction, as it helps individuals develop a better understanding of their behavior and equips them with the tools to change it.  However, it is important to note that success often depends on the individual's commitment to the process and the presence of any co-occurring mental health issues that might need to be addressed concurrently.

Support Systems

In addition to therapy, joining support groups (like Sex Addicts Anonymous or other recovery communities) can provide individuals with a sense of community, accountability, and encouragement.  Group settings can enhance the effectiveness of CBT by offering emotional support from others who understand the challenges of overcoming porn addiction.

Conclusion

CBT offers a structured, practical approach for those struggling with porn addiction.  It empowers individuals to change their thought patterns and behaviors, helping them regain control over their impulses and build healthier habits.  However, it may work best when combined with other therapeutic techniques or support systems, depending on the severity of the addiction."

Regarding Dark Thoughts

The above CBT methods also apply to dark thoughts.

Ultimately, people don't want to be tormented, but the brain produces endorphins from torment (just as the body produces endorphins from physical pain).  Thus, torment from dark thoughts is an addiction.

Although AI is not always accurate, when it comes to addictions, it is probably very accurate:

"Yes, self-torment can become an addiction.  This can manifest as a repetitive pattern of self-destructive thoughts, behaviors, or emotions that a person struggles to control, even when they recognize that it's harmful.  The cycle of self-torment can feed into feelings of guilt, shame, or worthlessness, which may become ingrained over time.

This type of addiction might not always be obvious in the traditional sense, like substance addiction, but it can still have similar impacts on a person's mental and emotional health.  People can become addicted to the emotional highs and lows, the pain, or even the familiarity of the cycle, which can make it difficult to escape.

It's often linked with underlying mental health issues like depression, anxiety, or trauma, and breaking the cycle typically requires addressing these root causes through therapy and self-compassion practices."

Those with dark thoughts may believe that they are bad people.  Believing this about themselves only makes their dark thinking worse.  In extreme instances, they may even place themselves in the same category as the cabal.  However, those who do not commit crimes against humanity but have dark thoughts (and many people do from time to time) are definitely not in the same category as the cabal.  Those with dark thoughts need to identify and challenge their destructive beliefs, which is a hallmark of CBT.

Guilt and shame only make dark thoughts worse.  Again, ultra-perfectionism within certain segments of the spiritual community is a major contributor to anomalous thinking.  Those with a 'holier than thou' mentality while secretly not living up to their own ultra-standards are knowingly or unknowingly assisting the dark forces.

Why I'm Making This Post

Personally, I no longer have a porn addiction, but wanted to cover this sensitive subject before the 14th.

Really looking forward to getting this clearing done. 😊

Why it Can Be Difficult to get a Clear Signal in the Dreamstate, and CBT Applied to the Dreamstate

Why it Can Be Difficult to get a Clear Signal in the Dreamstate

It can be difficult to get a clear signal in the dreamstate because the dreamstate often merges many different aspects.  For example, there can be a clear signal from God-Source being merged with abusive frequencies from the lurker/subquantum.  Another example is having a dream that gives precognition about a future meeting with someone in a safe setting, but this precognition gets merged with a war scenario from somewhere else in the world, so the result is a dream about a future meeting with someone in a war zone.  (These two examples are oversimplified to illustrate the key idea.  The number of different mergings can be dozens or more, which is why dreams can be so chaotic and not make sense.  Plus, the subconscious can have very strange ways of communicating when looked at consciously.)

There can however, be clear, or mostly clear, constructive dreams from the higher self.  There can also be clear, or mostly clear, influences and signals from positive forces.  It's not always chaotic.  There are many variables.

CBT Applied to the Dreamstate

One of the life-changing methods of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is to identify a destructive belief and then challenge this destructive belief.  Take "Tom" (a made-up name for convenience) for example:

Last night, Tom, who can remember most of his dreams, had some very uplifting dreams.  One dream was of him being lifted out of the the ocean and being helped by positive forces to stay above water.  Another was of him flying through the sky similar to the movie "Hook" when Peter Pan remembered who he really was.  A third dream was Tom being on another planet that had some interesting and uplifting plant life.  The fourth dream, however, was Tom having a very disturbing interaction with the lurker/subquantum anomaly.  This dream was a combination of messed up imagery, music/sounds, and vibes.

When Tom woke up in the morning, he immediately focused on the dream about the lurker/subquantum.  This put him in a bad mood.  If his core belief based on his feelings were to be put into words, it would be, "I always get attacked in the dreamstate, and there are never any positive interventions."

Then, however, Tom remembered about CBT, which encourages people to challenge their beliefs.  He asked himself, "Were all of my dreams traumatic?"  He then remembered the other 3 uplifting dreams he had.  This made him feel much better.  His belief changed to, "Even though I had this one bad dream, I had these other 3 good dreams too.  Maybe there is a mixture of constructive and destructive forces, and the destructive forces are just coming up like this as part of the clearing process."

Suppose on another night though, Tom had only disturbing dreams, with no uplifting dreams at all.  Tom can then remember other uplifting dreams he had on nights from the past.  He can also know that this night was a bad one, but there will be nights in the future that will be good ones.  He can also place his feet firmly on the ground and focus on healing action in the waking state, such as doing a lightworker meditation and going for a walk in nature with a strong knowing that this bad night is being energetically cleared.

Regarding Processed Foods, Another Way of Being Attacked, and PFC Censorship/Ghosting

Regarding Processed Foods

Not all processed foods are unhealthy.  For example, white bread is a processed food, but as has been proven, whole wheat and/or whole grain bread has dangerous levels of glyphosate while white bread does not.

(Also, many brands that sell oats, including organic brands, are also high in glyphosate:

https://centerforintegrativehealth.com/blogs/think-twice-before-you-roundup-some-more-oats

It's the bran that absorbs the glyphosate the most.)

The main processed foods to avoid are the ones that are high in fructose and/or vegetable oils, such as donuts and twinkies.  Also, avoid processed foods with added soft metals:

(So of course, avoid white bread with added aluminum.  And, let people look at you funny in the store if you read every ingredient list.  It's worth it.)

Another way of Being Attacked

Coming up this June, this will be the 6-year mark for me going alcohol free.  I know that if I have just one drink, I seriously risk falling back into the pattern of where I was at before, which was to be a heavy drinker with dangerously high blood pressure.  I know that I was very lucky not to die when I was like this, and that I was being given a second chance.

Off and on, I've been getting dreams where I'm tricked into wanting to drink a glass of wine again every night.  I completely agree to do this in the dream; it's laid on very thick.

I may know who's doing this (long story).  Knowingly or unknowingly, this individual is trying to kill me.  I have now lost all respect for this individual.  This individual has no business giving anyone advice, and I regret ever crossing this individual's path.  (This individual is unrelated to 2012 Portal).

If it's not this individual, I apologize.  Although, my intuition strongly tells me it is.

There are also dreams that trick me into believing that I faltered and got drunk many times after June of 2019.  My soul could be somehow involuntarily connected to others who did not take responsibility and chose to remain heavy drinkers/alcoholics, as some sort of 'soul group.'  I wish to cut all 'energetic links' with them.

I of course shake these dreams off and reaffirm the actual facts and return to the real deal, which is:

I haven't had a single alcoholic beverage in nearly 6 years, and I will not drink again in this lifetime, period.

Regarding all the occultists I interacted with over the years, I don't know why I ever looked to them for help.  I never needed them.  I can stand on my own just fine.

Since I'm Calling Things Out

PrepareForChange has been censoring and ghosting me.  I posted a comment with my post about grounding rocks, which was blocked.  I then sent another comment asking about this (with diplomacy; I wasn't aggressive) a few days later after seeing a comment from another person being posted without mine being posted.  This second comment was also blocked.  I then emailed them (again, with diplomacy) asking them about it (this was over a month ago), which was ghosted.

(They hardly get any comments anyway.  Most of their blog posts have zero comments, which is odd.)

It's good to expose this, but at the same time I'm employing stoic principles by letting this go and moving on.  I was happy to contribute many of my blog posts to PrepareForChange in the past, with most of them being published there.

Everything comes and goes.  I just don't see why a group that is so anti-deep state and promotes free speech would censor and ghost me.  Oh well.  Ultimately, it's not my problem.

It's also a perfect example of letting go of what's beyond my control.

I can have a sense of humor about it too.

Emergency Information About Bread

Anything over 80 parts per billion of glyphosate (from Monsanto's Roundup) is in the category of "high level concern."  This is probably the real reason why whole wheat bread gave me so many issues.

Also, here are some tested levels of glyphosate in pea protein powders:

Note that organic brands can be even worse than non-organic brands.

For pea protein I use the Naked brand, although it's in the category of "slight concern," with 39 parts per billion.  Still though, whole wheat bread has hundreds to over 1000 parts per billion by comparison!  White bread is the lowest, with less than 20 parts per billion.

Regarding Insults and Attacks

Alternating between reading/applying stoicism and Cognitive Behavior Therapy is helping quite a bit!

From "The Little Book of Stoicism: Timeless Wisdom to Gain Resilience, Confidence, and Calmness" by Jonas Salzgeber, practice 45:

"Seneca advises to look at an insulter as an overgrown child.  Just as it would be foolish for a mother to get upset by remarks of her toddler, we’d be equally foolish to get hurt by insults of a childish person.  People with such a flawed character don’t deserve our anger, says Marcus, they only deserve our pity.

Let’s remember that rational and wise people don’t insult others, at least not on purpose.  So if a person insults us, we can be certain this person has a flawed and immature character.  Irvine compares being insulted by another person is like taking the barking of a dog personally.  We’d be fools to become upset by that dog and think for the rest of the day, “Oh dear! That dog doesn’t like me!”

Marcus Aurelius saw insulting people as a lesson:  who not to be.  “The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury.”  The best revenge is to let it go and be a better example.

And should we respond when confronted?  The Stoics say with humor rather than a counter insult.  Make a joke, laugh it off.

It can be hard to find the right words, right?  So the better strategy might be not to respond at all.  Instead of reacting to an insult, says Musonius Rufus, “calmly and quietly bear what happened.”

Don’t go into reaction mode with an attack, defense, or withdrawal, but let it pass right through you.  As if you were not there.  Offer no resistance.  There’s nobody to get hurt.  In this way, you become invulnerable.  The insult goes right through you.  That person has no power to control how you feel.

You can, however, let that person know that their behavior is unacceptable, if you choose to.  In specific situations, this might be needed.  We need to teach children how to behave properly in this world.  When a child or even a student disrupts the lecture by insulting the teacher or other students, then the teacher needs to reprimand the insulter to ensure the right lecture environment.

The reprimand is not an emotional reaction to the insult, but a rationally chosen action to help the insulter improve their behavior, and to ensure the right environment.

One more strategy is to keep in mind what Epictetus says:  “What is insulting is not the person who abuses you or hits you, but the judgment about them that they are insulting.”

If we don’t care what others say, then we won’t feel insulted.  After all, other people’s actions are not under our control, so they’re ultimately indifferent.  So let’s not care too much about what others say to and about us.  Hear out Marcus on this:  “I’m constantly amazed by how easily we love ourselves above all others, yet we put more stock in the opinions of others than in our own estimation of self.  How much credence we give to the opinions our peers have of us and how little to our very own!”

Take that to heart and don’t take other people’s opinions about you too seriously.  Train yourself to endure their insults.  You’ll get more effective at reacting in appropriate ways, you’ll get stronger, and you might even become invincible.  Says Epictetus:  “Who then is invincible?  The one who cannot be upset by anything outside their reasoned choice.”

(From the next practice, 46)

Seeing every situation as the championship was on the line...  You’d be on tenterhooks all the time, and react to every tiny thing.  It’s much smarter to be easy and shake off minor blows with a simple nod.  Just dust it off as training.  Nothing happened.  Move on.

You don’t want to be the person who gets enraged over scratches.  They take things so seriously it seems ridiculous from the outside.  They think that barely visible spot ruins their looks, that dirty remark is worth a fight, or that leftover sip of milk is a reason to lose their mind.

The art of living is more like wrestling than dancing, because an artful life requires being prepared to meet and withstand sudden and unexpected attacks.

Each slap contains the chance to stay calm and strengthen who you want to be, but also the risk to go ballistic and become more of who you don’t want to be.

You’re a warrior.  Nothing and nobody can throw you off balance easily.  You’re ready to deal with some punches and side-kicks.

You want to be strong.  You want to handle yourself in the face of adversity.  You want to be unshakable in the midst of a storm.  You want to remain cool when others panic.  So, you simply can’t afford to turn your head to every scratch.  It’s just training.  Smile and move on."

Note:  This can also apply to metaphysical attacks.

There have been so many metaphysical attacks over the years.  True, they hurt in the short-term, but one just gets back up and keeps going, and all is well again.  Every day is a new day.

What I've Been Doing to Prepare for the Upcoming Deep Lurker/Subquantum Clearing

Regarding Cobra's latest post, I am confident that I will be ready for the upcoming clearing process of the deepest part of Lurker subquantum anomaly on the surface of the planet.  Here's why:

I'd like to re-mention that cognitive behavioral therapy from reading this book has been helping quite a bit:  "Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Made Simple: 10 Strategies for Managing Anxiety, Depression, Anger, Panic, and Worry (Retrain Your Brain with CBT)" by Seth J. Gillihan

I've gotten to the part where core belief systems are identified from one's own thoughts and imagined scenarios.  Here's an example:

One thinks of all the times of being mistreated by others.  A core belief is then identified from this, which is "No one respects me."  Then, there is focus on evidence to the contrary.  One thinks about all the times of being treated nicely by others.  One thinks about any friends one had, and of times of being respected.  The core belief can then be changed – not into something overly positive which can backfire, but into something more balanced and objective, which allows for breakthroughs.

Personally so far, 4 different destructive personal core beliefs have been identified and challenged with evidence to the contrary.  I wrote these all out, which is suggested in the book.  This has brought immense clarity.  Had I done this years ago, enormous suffering could have been prevented!  Better late than never though.

Perhaps there has been guidance from positive forces to bring me to this book, and maybe this can be a game changer for others as well. šŸ’–

True Victory, Control List, and Possible Aspects of a True Vacuum Universe

To Achieve True Victory

The saying that a person can be killed but an idea cannot is untrue.

Dissolution of anomaly/subquantum anomaly leads to the dissolution of cognitive distortions.  People don't abuse each other if the source of their abusive tendencies – anomaly/subquantum anomaly – has been dissolved.

Members of the dark forces can be killed, but as long as there is anomaly/subquantum anomaly, they will be replaced by new agents over time.  The source of anomalous ideas and ways of thinking must be dissolved to keep the dark forces from ever being replenished again.

The dark forces can continue to lose power while the source of their power continues to dissolve.

A List of Control

One can make a list of all the things one can control and all the things one cannot control.  Creating such a list helps one to hone in focus on what one can control.  There are four categories:  "easy to control," "partial control," "difficult to control," and "cannot be controlled."

(Maybe list the pertinent ones, as it's unnecessary to make a list of every single thing in reality.)

Example of "easy to control":

It's easy to control one's breath.  It's easy to take a deep breath to reduce stress.

Example of "partial control":

One can't immediately control when one gets a craving for sweets, but by drinking water when the craving occurs, this diminishes the craving.

Example of "difficult to control":

Maintaining composure in a volatile situation is a difficult task for most people.  This is a skill that is cultivated over time.

Example of "cannot be controlled":

One cannot control what others think and say about oneself.  Sure, one can act in a certain way to be liked by someone, but if this fails and the other person thinks ill thoughts and says ill things about oneself, one cannot stop this.  The healthy thing to do is realize that this is outside one's control and not get caught up in it; to let it go and move on.

True Vacuum Universe Speculation, or Real Knowledge?

In a liberated true vacuum universe, beings don't know how to think anomalously.  They couldn't think anomalously if they tried, and they wouldn't know how to try.  The possibility for this simply does not exist.

Also, a true vacuum universe doesn't need all these different systems of checks and balances to try to keep it stable.  For example, with the Tree of Life, our world needs the limitations of Saturn to stop the unlimited growth of Jupiter, as unlimited growth creates distortions.  (One such distortion is cancer.)  A true vacuum universe already knows how to function optimally without the need for these kinds of checks and balances; all the opposite Sefirot are already merged as one.

Groundbreaking Metaphysical Information? (Updated)

Update (with massive facepalm):

Later on in the book below, it promotes... flat earth theory.

It still has some interesting metaphysical knowledge.  Of course one must filter out what's useful.  Yet, I don't like the idea of promoting anything that has flat earth theory.  How very frustrating.  I should have known it was too good to be true.  My first impulse was to just remove this post entirely, but maybe it's enough to make this update giving people a heads up.

I'll just say that in absolutely no way do I promote flat earth theory.  I even remote viewed the earth years ago and saw a sphere.

I came across a really interesting 119 page book today, titled "Book of Wisdom."  Here's someone making a short video on this, sent to me from a friend today:

Here are the first couple pages:

The PDF is here (it said the site was unsecured but it worked at least on my end when I added the exception):

I was going to upload it onto google cloud in case anyone had issues with the above links, but now cloud is asking for my credit card number to be able to upload anything.  They've become even more draconian than before.  I will not be giving them any such information.

52 Cognitive Distortions!

1.  Personalizing

Taking something personally that may not be personal.  Seeing events as consequences of your actions when there are other possibilities.  Example:  Believing someone’s brusque tone must be because they’re irritated with you.

2.  Mind reading

Guessing what someone else is thinking, when they may not be thinking that.

3.  Negative predictions

Overestimating the likelihood that an action will have a negative outcome.

4.  Underestimating coping ability

Underestimating your ability to cope with negative events.

5.  Catastrophizing

Thinking of unpleasant events as catastrophes.

Example:  Imagine you're preparing for a big work presentation, and you accidentally mess up a small detail during your practice session.  You start thinking, "If I make this mistake during the actual presentation, everyone will think I'm incompetent.  I'll probably lose my job, and then I won’t be able to pay my bills. My whole life will fall apart!"

6.  Biased attention toward signs of social rejection, and lack of attention to signs of social acceptance

Example:  During social interactions, paying attention to someone yawning and assuming you're boring them, but not paying the same degree of attention to other cues that suggest they are interested in what you’re saying (such as leaning toward you).

7.  Negatively biased recall of social encounters

Remembering negatives from a social situation while not remembering positives.  Example:  Remembering losing your place for a few seconds while giving a talk but not remembering the huge clap you got at the end.

8.  Thinking an absence of effusiveness means something is wrong

Believing an absence of a smiley face in an email means someone is mad at you.  Or, interpreting “You did a good job” as negative because you were expecting to be told that you did a "great" job.

9.  Unrelenting standards

The belief that achieving unrelentingly high standards is necessary to avoid a catastrophe.  Example:  The belief that making any mistakes will lead to your colleagues thinking you're useless.

10.  Entitlement beliefs

Believing the same rules that apply to others should not apply to you.  Example:  Believing you shouldn’t need to do an internship even if that is the normal path to employment in your industry.

11.  Justification and moral licensing

Example:  When you've made progress toward a goal and therefore feel that it’s alright to act in a way that is inconsistent with it.

12.  Belief in a just world

Example:  Believing that poor people must deserve to be poor.

13.  Seeing a situation only from your own perspective

Example:  Failing to look at a topic of relationship tension from your partner’s perspective.

14.  Belief that self-criticism is an effective way to motivate yourself toward better future behavior

Research in suggests that self-compassion – treating oneself with understanding and kindness after a failure – is actually a far more effective approach for motivation and growth.  It allows people to reflect on their mistakes without judgment and use them as a platform for improvement.  This shift can make all the difference in bouncing back stronger!

15.  Recognizing feelings as causes of behavior, but not equally attending to how behavior influences thoughts and feelings

Example:  You think, “When I have more energy, I’ll exercise” but not, “Exercising will give me more energy.”

16.  All-or-nothing thinking

Example:  "If this recipe doesn't turn out right, I'm no good at cooking and will never cook again."

17.  "Shoulds" and "musts"

Example:  "I should always give 100 percent."  Sometimes, there are no important benefits of doing a task beyond a basic acceptable level.

18.  Using feelings as the basis of a judgment, when the objective evidence does not support your feelings

Example:  "I feel depressed, so going for a walk is not a good idea."

19.  Basing future decisions on “sunk costs”

Example:  Investing more money in a business that is losing money because you’ve invested so much already.

20.  Delusions

Holding a fixed, false belief, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.  Example:  Believing the earth is flat.  Another example:  Believing you’re overweight when you’re 100 pounds.

21.  Assuming your current feelings will stay the same in the future

Example:  “I feel unable to cope today; therefore, I will feel unable to cope tomorrow.”

22.  Cognitive labeling

Example:  Mentally labeling your sister’s boyfriend as a “loser” and not being open to subsequent evidence suggesting he isn’t a loser.

23.  The Halo Effect

A cognitive bias where our overall impression of a person, company, or product influences how we perceive their other traits.  Essentially, if we view one aspect positively, we tend to assume other aspects are equally positive, even without evidence.

Example:  Imagine you meet someone who is physically attractive.  Because of their appearance, you might unconsciously assume they are also intelligent, kind, or capable, even though you have no proof of these traits.  Their attractiveness "casts a halo" over your perception of their other qualities.

24.  Minimizing

Example:  “Yes, I won an important award, but that still doesn’t really mean I’m accomplished in my field.”

25.  Magnifying (aka cognitively exaggerating)

Magnifying is making a mountain out of a molehill, but not quite to the same extent as catastrophizing.  Example:  Blowing your own mistakes and flaws out of proportion and perceiving them as more significant than they are.

26.  Cognitive conformity

Seeing things the way people around you view them.  Research has shown that this often happens at an unconscious level.

27.  Overgeneralizing

Generalizing a belief that may have validity in some situations.  Example:  Applying the strategy of, “If you want something done well, you should do it yourself” to every situation.  This is a type of lack of psychological flexibility.

28.  Blaming others

Example:  "I grew up to be a criminal because of my parents.  They raised me wrong.  It's their fault."

29.  Falling victim to the “foot in the door” technique

When someone makes a small request to get a “Yes” answer, then follows up with a bigger request, people are more likely to agree to the big request than if only that request had been made.

30.  Falling victim to the “door in the face” technique

When someone makes an outlandish request first, then makes a smaller request, the initial outlandish request makes the smaller request seem more reasonable.

31.  Focusing on the amount saved rather than the amount spent

Example:  Focusing on the amount of a discount rather than on whether you’d buy the item that day at the sale price if it wasn’t listed as on sale.

32.  Overvaluing things because they're yours

Example:  Perceiving your baby as more attractive or smart than they really are because they're yours.  Another example:  Overestimating the price of your home when you put it on the market because you overestimate the added value of renovations you've made.

33.  Failure to consider alternative explanations

Coming up with one explanation for why something has happened and failing to consider alternative, more likely explanations.

34.  The self-serving bias

People's tendency to attribute positive events to their own character but attribute negative events to external factors.

35.  Attributing strangers' behavior to their character and not considering situational/contextual factors

Imagine you’re driving, and another car cuts you off abruptly.  Your immediate thought might be, "What a reckless and inconsiderate driver!"  Here, you’re attributing the stranger’s behavior to their character traits (e.g., carelessness or rudeness).  However, you’re not considering the potential situational factors.  Perhaps they’re rushing to the hospital due to an emergency or simply didn’t notice you because they’re distracted by stress or bad news.

36.  Failure to consider opportunity cost

Example:  Spending an hour doing a low ROI (Return On Investment) task and thinking, "It's only an hour" and not considering the lost potential of spending that hour doing a high ROI task.

37.  Assumed similarity

The tendency to assume other people hold similar attitudes to your own.

38.  In-group bias

The tendency to trust and value people who are like you, or who are in your circle, more than people from different backgrounds.

39.  "You don't know what you don't know"

Getting external feedback can help you become aware of things you didn't even know that you didn't know.

40.  The tendency to underestimate how long tasks will take

41.  The belief that worry and overthinking will lead to problem-solving insights

In fact, overthinking tends to impair problem-solving ability and can lead to avoidance coping.

42.  Biased implicit attitudes

Example:  In the workplace, a manager may unconsciously assume that older employees are less adept at learning new technologies compared to their younger counterparts.  As a result, they might assign tech-related tasks to younger employees more often, while overlooking older employees who are equally capable or even more experienced in adapting to new systems.

43.  The peak-end rule

A psychological heuristic where people judge an experience largely based on how they felt at its most intense moment (the "peak") and at its conclusion (the "end"), rather than the entire experience as a whole.

Example:  Imagine you’re attending a day-long seminar.  For the most part, it’s dull, but midway through, there’s an inspiring speaker who captivates the audience (the "peak").  The seminar ends with a surprise giveaway of a popular gadget that you win (the "end").  Despite the overall mediocrity of the event, you remember it as a highly positive experience because of those two impactful moments.

44.  The tendency to prefer familiar things

Familiarity breeds liking, which is part of why people are loyal to certain brands and may pay inflated prices for them instead of switching.

45.  The belief you can multi-task

When you're "multi-tasking," you're actually task (and attention) shifting.  Trying to focus on more than one goal at a time is self-sabotage.

46.  Failure to recognize the cognitive benefits of restorative activities and those that increase positive emotions

Example:  Seeing humor or breaks as a "waste of time."

47.  Positively biased predictions

Example:  Expecting that if you sign up for a one-year gym membership, you will go, even though this hasn't been the case in the past.

48.  Cheating on your goals based on positive behaviors you plan to do later

Example:  Overeating today if you expect you'll be starting a diet next week.  Often, the planned positive behaviors don't happen.

49.  Repeating the same behavior and expecting different results, or thinking that doubling down on a failed strategy will start to produce positive results

Example:  Expecting that if you nag more, someone will change their behavior.  Another example:  Someone is irrefutably proven to be incorrect, but they double down on their position.

50.  "I can't change my behavior" (or "I can't change my thinking style")

Instead of telling yourself "I can't," try asking yourself how you could shift your behavior (or thinking style) by just five percent.

51.  Overconfidence bias:

This happens when someone assumes they understand a topic or situation fully, failing to recognize areas they lack knowledge in.  This can lead to poor decision-making because critical unknowns are overlooked.

52.  The Dunning-Kruger Effect

This bias involves individuals with limited knowledge or competence overestimating their abilities in a particular area because they don't yet know enough to recognize their own limitations.
